The LKTeam 2022 round-up
As we started emerging from Covid, nobody really knew what 2022 would bring – but we’re happy to say that the LKTeam is still going strong! We couldn’t do any of what we do without our team members – both our in-house ones and our freelance partners, with whom we’ve developed fantastic relationships – so it’s firstly important for us to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone involved in the team. You are all absolute stars and brilliant at what you do!
It’s now become a bit of a tradition for us to do a round-up of what’s happened over the year – so in that spirit, here are the highlights of what we got up to in 2022. We….
▶️ marked 10 years of our fab in-house team members Jenny and Catherine (the pic is from our celebratory afternoon tea!)
▶️ welcomed in-house team member Vicky back in full to her business development role (and added social media assistance to her job profile!)
▶️ obtained recertification to two standards: ISO 17000 and 9001
▶️ welcomed some new customers – and welcomed back others who returned post-Covid
▶️ made a return to in-person gatherings for our LKTeam Days and introduced a hybrid option that allowed freelance partners to attend workshops remotely
▶️ conducted one of our fullest reviews yet of our company procedures
▶️ got up and running with a new local IT services partner, Myson Pages
▶️ upgraded our website with extensive help from website services provider Pennine IT Services
▶️ reviewed our model and consolidated our position as a single-language vendor (SLV)
▶️ continued our commitment to CPD, which included attendance at the Chartered Institute of Linguists conference, Goldman Sachs business development work, and various Institute of Translation and Interpreting workshops and webinars
▶️ continued serving on the ITI Professional Development Committee (Louise, as corporate representative) and the ITI Scottish Network Committee (Siobhan, as newsletter editor)
▶️ and, as our top priority, kept delivering high-quality translations to our customers throughout the year
It’s not quite 2023 yet, but before everything goes quiet over the Christmas period, we’d like to wish our in-house team, freelance partners, customers and everyone reading this on here a very merry Christmas and all the very best for 2023 – we’re already excited to see what the new year will bring!
